I can't say enough great things about Doctors Marcos and Brittani at Gonstead Chiropractic in Sarasota. For over 2 months I had been suffering from a lack of mobility and pain in my neck that was also traveling down into my shoulders, forearms and wrists. I went to two other chiropractors to no avail. In fact, I think they made my situation worse. Dr. Marcos did a thorough physical and verbal evaluation as well as full spine X-rays that revealed how messed up my spine was. In that same first visit, Dr. Marcos was able to adjust my neck providing almost immediate relief! No other chiropractor had been able to do that!!! I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Marcos and Dr Brittani. I saw a massage therapist at another chiropractor's office who, without my consent, attempted to aggressively adjust my neck and upper back before I even had a chance to realize what was happening. PLEASE KNOW THAT NO MASSAGE THERAPIST IS LICENSED TO DO THIS AND BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU GO! ASK QUESTIONS AND SPEAK UP. The next day I was in tremendous pain and have been since. I had to cease all activity, and I typically am an athletic person who works out 5-6 days a week. I have two very active boys and have not been able to interact with them the way I normally would. This was already almost 7 months ago. For 4 months, I tried getting chiropractic care but it did not help and also did not feel heard in the severity of my concerns. I continued to be in constant pain. A month ago, I started seeing Dr Marcos at Gonstead. His bedside manner is incredible. He is warm, he listens, spends time with you and he genuinely cares. As does Dr Brittani.Their whole office is caring, attentive and kind. Dr Marcos explains in detail what he feels is going on in your body and deeply understands the impacts of trauma on one's nervous system. Being in a similar field as an acupuncturist, the Gonstead approach makes sense to me. Instead of just crackiing you all over the place and sending you on your way, they use specific instruments to guide the location of necessary adjustments, thus not sending your entire body into shock. After a month of seeing Dr Marcos, I am in the least amount of pain I have been in since the injury, my neck is not seizing up, and progress is continuing to be made. I feel hopeful again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Nothing short of life saving! The amazing staff & dynamic duo of Dr. Brittani & Dr. Marcos care of patients and passion in their work is stellar! I went to them, or my back forced me to go to them after re-aggravating a lower back disc injury. I could barely walk and made it to their office, upon leaving the first appt I was in pain yet functional and able to be semi-mobile again. When I left I now knew what the issues were going forward, how long it could take and what was needed with a course of action and comprehensive treatment plan created by the Dr’s based on X-Rays, examination and expertise to heal and recover. It has been well worth the time and treatment especially when someone like myself really had no clue as to how long my body has been effected and was in chronic pain. I was in really bad physical shape in terms of my back when I first met Dr. Marcos and Dr. Brittani and I was feeling pretty hopeless. At the time I had just been seen by an orthopedic who put me on Celebrex for my pain in addition to muscle relaxers and told me to take for 30 days and try physical therapy. I very quickly saw results after seeing both Dr. Brittani and Dr. Marcos and was able to very quickly get off of all meds.
