I have never been to such a competent and thorough chiropractor! I was suffering from extreme vertigo for over 2 months (was nearly bedridden) and he stopped it from occuring after the first adjustment. Gonstead chiropractic does extensive research before any physical adjustment. It blows my mind how any other chiro can do what they do without scans at least. It should be illegal. Let me explain, in 2012, I had a severe concussion from a second floor fall and with the care from my Iowa Gonstead chiropractor, I was back to work within 35 days. Dr. Marcos is a miracle worker for me! After 2 surgeries on the same knee 8 years ago my pain had not improved since pre-surgery and recently was getting worse. Visits to 3 orthopedic doctors telling me all the “hardware” was as it should be and in January an ablation through a pain management physician, there was still no improvement. There was also ankle arthritis involved. My family all go to Dr. Marcos so I made an appointment and was pleasantly surprised at how thorough the initial visit was and after 2 visits I have experienced such relief! I can walk without limping, hanging on to something or in pain. Dr. Marcos explains all that is going on and provides a folder containing information on your personal X-rays and problem areas to be worked on. This is the longest review I’ve ever written on anything but I can’t t say enough good about this practice from the time you walk through the door!

I can't say enough great things about Doctors Marcos and Brittani at Gonstead Chiropractic in Sarasota. For over 2 months I had been suffering from a lack of mobility and pain in my neck that was also traveling down into my shoulders, forearms and wrists. I went to two other chiropractors to no avail. In fact, I think they made my situation worse. Dr. Marcos did a thorough physical and verbal evaluation as well as full spine X-rays that revealed how messed up my spine was. This is my follow up review from my previous post. I have had over 100 adjustments to correct 65 years of poor posture, untreated injuries and plain aches and pains. My current adjustments are in refining the vertebrae align so that I am reaching optimum health. A recent thorough blood test at a medical center confirms it. I do not take any medication even thought I am over 70. I am a personal witness to the Gonstead Chiropractic code that the human body has everything it needs to heal provided and this is a BIG IF, the brain, nervous system (i.e. vertebrae's), organs, glands, muscles, tissues, and ever part of the body is functioning at full capacity which I can now attest would be almost impossible without proper Gonstead Chiropractic care from Dr Marcos Perivolaris. I may sound like a missionary on a quest, in my own way I am for I have seen and felt the difference in my life. I hope you step over your skepticism to try it and see for yourself rather than listening to people who are not qualified to advise you properly. 5/10/2025 I wanted to wait until my initial set of sessions were completed so I can give more comprehensive review. First I have been under chiropractic care since 2006 and will state that I have never had such an intensive and complete examination by a chiropractor like Dr Marcos Perivolaris of Gonstead Chiropractic of Sarasota. Furthermore, the treatments were very different in that instead of just pushing down or turning the vertebrae, Dr Marcos had a definite vector in which he move the vertebrae while closing looking at the extensive X-rays he had done initially. This meant that he was directing the vertebrae into it "original normal" position so that the body can heal itself. The results speak for themselves. Every area of my health that was blocked by the subluxation of vertebraes are showing noticeable improvement such as urinating better, better bowel movements, better sleep cycles, less aches and pains after long walks, and many other symptoms. If you are suffering from nerve pains or have health issues, you owe it to your self to make an appointment with Dr Marcos.

A month ago I came to Dr. Marcos in a lot of pain from a car accident almost a year ago. Went through treatment at another facility all they did was make me sit in chairs and move around, then I received several shots in my neck and lower back. My husband and I arrived in Sarasota on a Tuesday after a 3 day trip driving from our home in New Hampshire. My chiropractor from home already connected w Dr. Marcos’ office regarding my previous chiropractic care for hip pain and I had an appointment for that Thursday as a follow up. By Wednesday after a very uncomfortable first night I found myself in excruciating pain and called Dr. Marcos’ office asking if he could possibly fit me in that day in addition to my existing appointment on Thursday. Sam answered the phone and my introduction to the incredibly professional, caring, thorough, thoughtful and knowledgeable staff at Gonstead Chiropractic Clinic of Sarasota began. Not only was Dr. Marcos able to see me but he gave me 2 hours of his undivided attention giving me what was really an initial consultation with an adjustment at the end to at least give me some relief overnight. The following day I saw Dr. Marcos for another 2 hours to thoroughly go over the previous day’s test results and x-ray evaluation. He explained the Gonstead Chiropractic method in a way that helped me understand what he recommended for treatment. He answered every one of my questions thoroughly and patiently. He never made me feel rushed or overwhelmed. He explained in detail exactly what and why he was doing that day for my adjustments. I then made appointments for the following week. Recently, unexpected fall, passed out, hit head. ER concussion, vagus nerve disruption. Experiencing post experience for a month with no definitive explanation and diagnosis. Been treated here at Gonstead by Dr. Marcos for maybe 6 months now. Had multiple issues…lower back pain, hip ‘giving out’, headaches, neck pain, sleepless nights. My before and after X-rays from 3 months of treatment were mind boggling. We have slowly been making our way up my spine, starting with the culprit problem, my sacrum. There’s still much to be done however I’m at a point where I can sleep through the night without crying, and I can get out of my car without falling over. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Marcos and Dr Brittani. I saw a massage therapist at another chiropractor's office who, without my consent, attempted to aggressively adjust my neck and upper back before I even had a chance to realize what was happening. PLEASE KNOW THAT NO MASSAGE THERAPIST IS LICENSED TO DO THIS AND BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU GO! ASK QUESTIONS AND SPEAK UP. The next day I was in tremendous pain and have been since. I had to cease all activity, and I typically am an athletic person who works out 5-6 days a week. I have two very active boys and have not been able to interact with them the way I normally would. This was already almost 7 months ago. For 4 months, I tried getting chiropractic care but it did not help and also did not feel heard in the severity of my concerns. I continued to be in constant pain. A month ago, I started seeing Dr Marcos at Gonstead. His bedside manner is incredible. He is warm, he listens, spends time with you and he genuinely cares. As does Dr Brittani.Their whole office is caring, attentive and kind. Dr Marcos explains in detail what he feels is going on in your body and deeply understands the impacts of trauma on one's nervous system. Being in a similar field as an acupuncturist, the Gonstead approach makes sense to me. Instead of just crackiing you all over the place and sending you on your way, they use specific instruments to guide the location of necessary adjustments, thus not sending your entire body into shock. After a month of seeing Dr Marcos, I am in the least amount of pain I have been in since the injury, my neck is not seizing up, and progress is continuing to be made. I feel hopeful again. As good as those were, there’s really no comparison to the level of care and attention to detail the Dr, Brit and Dr Marcos provides. I went to them, or my back forced me to go to them after re-aggravating a lower back disc injury. Here's what I like best about this place- the people. Dr. Marcos and Dr. Brittany are just terrific people- down-to-earth, caring, knowledgable and helpful. There is no heavy sales pitch that I have received from other partitioners, and they take the time to show you and explain what's wrong and what their treatment plan will be. I drove down to Florida from Wisconsin and arrived in debilitating back pain after having been through numerous treatment modalities prescribed by my orthopedic surgeon (no surgery thank god) including, physical therapy, dry and wet needling, and drug therapy. I have been under Dr. Marco's care for about two months and I now have relief and have a path forward with another Gonstead clinic in my hometown when I return (tomorrow, unfortunately).
